Inspirational Books by Jewish Author E.S. Danon

E.S. (Elizabeth) Danon is a Jewish author who writes inspirational books that are part memoir part fiction. Her most recent novel, Moon in Bastet, follows a fourteen-year-old orphan girl named Eva, through the Negev desert of Israel. She works as a custodian of Cirque Du Christianisme. A volatile drunk named Bella controls the young girl's life. Bullied by the Christian boys, Eva is alone and neglected. Her only friends are a young teenage Sephardic boy, Jack, and a group of Bedouin sister-wives. Eva is ready to give up when she finds a mysterious cat in the middle of nowhere, in the desert. Or, perhaps, the cat was looking for her.

If you're searching for inspirational books by a Jewish author, Moon in Bastet offers mystery, magic, and symbolism. It's a story of resilience and power within every woman. E.S. Danon's enriched but complicated heritage inspires most of her creative writing. As such, her voice has an unmistakable international presence that makes her work accessible to people of all races and religions. Danon says that she wants to be a voice for and advocate for the underdog—to help give a voice to the voiceless through her writing. She says her writing style is a mix of J. D. Salinger, Ernest Hemingway, and Edgar Allan Poe. Beyond that, she says that most of her work has a spiritual aspect to it.

Hurn Publications is releasing E.S. Danon's Moon in Bastet on September 29th, 2020. You can preorder the book on Amazon and add it to your list of inspirational books to read by a Jewish author on Goodreads.
